If there is a breach of your copyright on our site, we want to know about it.

Sim-UK is a catalog and index site for thousands of addons and mods - media that we reffer to as "UGC" or "User Generated Content". Our site is a self service tool, and the content you see on our website was uploaded by the members of our community (with the copyright holder's permission), or the copyright holder himself.

The UGC is then checked by a team of volunteers. This team checks that valid details were provided about the UGC, such as a valid picture and a descriptive title and description. However, it is impossible and inappropriate to expect our volunteers to check the copyright for each and every uploaded piece of UGC.

The main reasons for this is that there is no valid way for our team to check that these uploads are not a breach of copyright. There is no global copyright database, and no real way to tell if an item of UGC has redistribution restrictions

For this reason, we have a very open copyright policy. Our policy is this:

• If you are the copyright holder, and you oppose to your work being shared on our website, we will respect that. However, we are not mind readers - we ask that you fill out the form below with the details we need and we will process your request.


• We will remove content which is in breach of copyright as fast as possible. However, our team have lives and jobs, and are not always around to answer your queries or requests. So we aim to remove content within 24 hours


• Once it's gone, it's gone. Removal is permenant and complete. Not even the person who uploaded the content has access to it any more, and the item will not appear in our stats or other information. It will be as if the item never existed.
